Athens Digital Arts Festival announces its strategic partnership with Polyeco Contemporary Art Initiative, for the 12th edition of the Festival that will take place on 19 – 22 of May, at the historic center of Athens, under the theme Digital Pop. PCAI – Polyeco Contemporary Art Initiative, is a is a non-profit organization which contributes to the creative welfare, supporting the local communities in the areas where it operates. PCAI’s aim is to raise environmental awareness through a unique art program inspired by the crucial issue of waste management.
Collaborating with Polyeco Contemporary Art Initiative, ADAF 2016 will present a well-structured video art screening program. The screenings will be shown at the main venue of the Festival, Building Complex Gate Ermou 117-121, in the historic center of Athens. At the same time, Polyeco Contemporary Art Initiative will support the creative kids workshops that will be held under in the framework of the new category ADAF kids.
Since the last 12 years the festival has presented more than 1500 video art projects, the cooperation with PCAI comes to dynamically contribute to the promotion of digital culture in Greece. Moreover, given that PCAI supports independent, young pioneers and artists, the aim of this partnership is to promote creative development and to raise awareness through art.
