Athens Digital Arts Festival in the framework of its 12th edition announces its cooperation with the Delegation of European Commission and the European Parliament Office in Greece. This partnership aims to support the creative industry and young, creative artists as well as to promote the Audience Development regarding digital arts.
In particular, the Delegation of European Commission in Greece adopts τη interactive the interactive installation Sensible by Bram Snijders of the dutch artistic group Deframe. The installation is an experimentation in modern technologies in combination with the applied open software and human interaction.
Furthermore, in the framework of the action #EU4U, the Delegation of European Commission and the European Parliament Office in Greece organize a photo competition on Instagram, which runs during the Festival, 19-22 May, under the theme “#EU4U: From Physical to Digital”. During their visit, the festival’s guests are asked to capture and publish a photo on their Instagram account, by tagging @ to.steki.EU and by using the hashtag #EU4U along with their own message. The image that will get most Liked on Instagram will become the Cover Photo on of the official accounts of the European Commission and the European Parliament Office in Greece.
Finally, the Stage of Europe, a meeting place between the two institutions and the citizens and other organizations, which is based on the European Parliament in Greece, will host the meeting for the Audience Development regarding digital arts (Audience Development Meeting), on Friday 20 May 20, 13:00 – 16:00, which is carried out under the European program LPM2015> 2018 with the participation of international festivals.
